My policing career started in 1994 as an Auxiliary Police Constable with the Gloucester Police Service.  I volunteered my time in the community, helping the police service with various community functions.  This is where I fell in love with the career and what it had to offer.

In 1996 I joined the Ottawa Carleton Regional Police.  I began working on Patrol, like so many rookie cops.  This is where you learn the job!  Working in the trenches with teamates helps build your street smarts.  I then went on to work in the Traffic services section, riding Harley Davidson`s, escorting VIP`s while visiting the Nation`s Capital, conducted heavy truck enforcement campaigns and worked diligently to keep Ottawa roads safe.  While in this section, I had the luxury to work in the snowmobile enforcement arm of the unit.  It was cold, but fun.

From Traffic, I returned to patrol for a few years.  I joined the marine and underwater squad and patrolled our waterways for three years.    It was truly the best section I worked in!  I then transferred to the Airport policing unit where I began my Acting Sgt assignment.  From here, I transferred to a patrol platoon in the downtown core(Byward Market/Vanier) where I supervised 8 great officers.  I was promoted to the rank of Sgt after 8 years.

From patrol Sgt, I did a short time in cell block booking and releasing prisoners and then headed up the newly minted DART unit within the Guns and Gang unit.

I retired in Feb 2009 to run my businesses full time, although I was a cop, I was also an entrepeneur.  When I left the service, I thought I would help good candidates get hired by passing on my ECI experience to those who truly want to win.  And so coprecruiter was started.

I have held seminars in Ottawa for aspiring police officers and am proud to say some have since been hired.  I have followed up with the “How to Ace the Police Essential Competency Interview” E Book so that more people can benefit from the information.

I have used my successful career to bring you success in obtaining your dream job.

Thank You

Paul
